Laing Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions

1. Program Overview

The Laing Loyalty Program ("Program") is a rewards program offered by Laing Home ("Laing," "we," "us," or "our") to our valued customers. By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The Program is open to individuals aged 18 years or older who have created an account with Laing.

2.2. Participation in the Program is free and voluntary.

2.3. Only one account per person is permitted. Laing reserves the right to close duplicate accounts and void any associated points.

2.4. Employees of Laing and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Program.

2.5. The Program is available to customers in New Zealand, Australia, and select international locations where Laing ships.

3. Enrollment

3.1. To enrol, customers must create an account on the Laing website at www.lainghome.com.

3.2. Upon enrollment, members will automatically be placed in the WELCOME tier.

3.3. Members are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, including email address and contact details.

4. Earning Points

4.1. Members earn 1 point for every $1 NZD spent on eligible purchases.

4.2. Points are calculated based on the pre-tax, post-discount purchase amount.

4.3. Points are earned only on full-priced products. Sale and outlet items are excluded from points earning.

4.4. Points are awarded instantly and automatically after an order is fulfilled. 

4.5. Points earned with discount codes are calculated on the final amount paid, not the original price.

4.6. Shipping costs, taxes, gift wrap fees, and other non-product charges do not earn points.

4.7. Points cannot be earned on purchases made with store credit or referral credits. Points can be earned on the portion of an order paid with regular payment methods.

5. Points Redemption

5.1. Points may be redeemed for discounts on future purchases according to the following structure:

  • 500 points = $50 NZD discount

  • 1000 points = $100 NZD discount

5.2. Points can only be redeemed once a member has reached INSIDER tier status ($500 total spend).

5.3. Points redemption is applied at checkout and will be deducted from the order total before taxes and shipping.

5.4. Points cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another account.

5.5. Points redemptions cannot be combined with promotional discount codes. Members may choose to use either their points or a discount code, but not both in a single transaction.

5.6. Points will continue to be earned on purchases where discount codes are used (calculated on the final amount paid).

5.7. Minimum redemption is 500 points ($50 discount).

5.8. Points do not expire and will remain in your account indefinitely.

6. Membership Tiers

The Program consists of the following tiers based on lifetime spend with Laing:

WELCOME Tier ($0 - $499)

  • Earn 1 point per $1 spent

  • Welcome offer: 10% off first purchase

  • Email communications about loyalty benefits

  • Points accumulate but cannot be redeemed until INSIDER tier is reached

INSIDER Tier ($500 - $999)

  • Earn 1 point per $1 spent

  • Redeem points: 500 points = $50 off

  • $25 Birthday treat voucher

  • 48-hour early access to seasonal drops, recuts, and sale events

  • Exclusive previews and member communications

ATELIER Tier ($1000 - $1999)

  • Earn 1 point per $1 spent

  • Enhanced redemption: 1000 points = $100 off (or 500 points = $50 off)

  • All INSIDER tier benefits

  • $50 Birthday treat voucher

  • Priority access to new collections and special events

CURATOR Tier ($2000+)

  • Earn 1 point per $1 spent

  • Enhanced redemption: 1000 points = $100 off (or 500 points = $50 off)

  • All ATELIER tier benefits

  • Exclusive $2000+ tier gift

  • Pre-ordering and trunk show access

  • VIP event invitations

  • Access to the founder of Laing, Anna

6.1. Tier status is determined by lifetime spend (cumulative total of all eligible purchases).

6.2. Members automatically move up tiers when the spend threshold is reached.

6.3. Tier status is not affected by returns or refunds, however, points earned from returned items will be deducted (see Section 7).

6.4. Once a tier is achieved, members will not be downgraded due to returns or periods of inactivity.

7. Returns and Refunds

7.1. If a member returns a product for which points were earned, those points will be deducted from the member's account balance.

7.2. If points have already been redeemed and the account balance is insufficient to cover the deduction, the account may show a negative balance until future purchases add points.

7.3. If a purchase was made using redeemed points and the item is returned, the points used for the discount will be restored to the member's account.

7.4. Refunds will be issued according to Laing's standard return policy. Points adjustments are separate from monetary refunds.

8. Early Access Benefits

8.1. INSIDER, ATELIER, and CURATOR members receive 48-hour early access to seasonal drops, recuts, and sale events.

8.2. Early access will be provided via email with a unique access link.

8.3. Early access times and availability are subject to change and at Laing's discretion.

8.4. Products may sell out during early access periods. Early access does not guarantee product availability.

9. Birthday Benefits (ATELIER & CURATOR Tiers)

9.1. ATELIER and CURATOR members who have provided their birth date will receive a birthday treat during their birthday month.

9.2. Birthday treats will be sent via email and must be redeemed within the specified timeframe (typically within the birthday month).

9.3. Members must provide accurate birth date information in their account to receive birthday benefits.

10. Program Modifications

10.1. Laing reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time with or without notice.

10.2. Laing may change the earning rate, redemption values, tier thresholds, or benefits at its discretion.

10.3. Members will be notified of significant Program changes via email to the address associated with their account.

10.4. Continued participation in the Program following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Account Termination and Point Forfeiture

11.1. Laing reserves the right to suspend or terminate any member's account and forfeit all points if:

  • The member violates these Terms and Conditions

  • Fraudulent activity is detected

  • The member engages in abuse of the Program

  • Multiple accounts are created by the same individual

  • The member engages in behaviour deemed inappropriate or harmful to Laing or other customers

11.2. Upon account termination, all accumulated points will be forfeited and cannot be reinstated.

11.3. Members may voluntarily close their accounts at any time. Upon closure, all points will be forfeited.

11.4. Accounts inactive for 3+ years may be subject to closure, with notification sent to the email address on file prior to closure.

12. Fraud and Abuse

12.1. Any attempt to defraud the Program or abuse its terms will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all points.

12.2. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Creating multiple accounts

  • Purchasing products with the intent to return them solely to earn points

  • Using unauthorised methods to earn or redeem points

  • Transferring or selling points or accounts

  • Manipulating the system through technical exploits

12.3. Laing reserves the right to investigate suspected fraud and take appropriate legal action.

13. Privacy and Data

13.1. Personal information collected through the Program will be used in accordance with Laing's Privacy Policy.

13.2. By participating in the Program, members consent to receive marketing communications from Laing, including emails about loyalty benefits, tier status, and exclusive offers.

13.3. Members may opt out of marketing emails at any time while maintaining their loyalty account and points balance.

13.4. Laing will not sell or share member information with third parties except as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1. The Program is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

14.2. Laing is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues that prevent earning or redeeming points

  • Lost or delayed communications regarding the Program

  • Changes to tier benefits or Program structure

  • Inability to redeem points due to product availability

14.3. Laing's liability under the Program shall not exceed the value of points in a member's account at the time of any claim.

14.4. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances.

15. General Terms

15.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

15.2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15.3. Laing's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

15.4. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between members and Laing regarding the Program.

15.5. Members are responsible for tracking their own points balance and tier status, though Laing will make reasonable efforts to keep members informed.
