When Laing’s founder, Anna Murray, first crossed paths with the effortlessly chic Hannah in Wellington—back when she and her soon to be husband Beauden were living there —they instantly connected over a mutual adoration for fashion, family, and, of course, exquisite sleepwear. Fast-forward to today, and Hannah remains one of Laing’s most loyal and luminous supporters. We couldn’t resist catching up with her to uncover how she elegantly navigates through her busy life and whether her love for luxe loungewear is still going strong.
What does your ideal Sunday look like?
A sleep in, cuddles with my daughters and a delicious brunch!
What morning rituals or routines help you feel grounded and ready for the day ahead?
I love writing a to-do list for the day as soon as I get up followed by some exercise (whether it be a walk up the road with the pram) or some stretching!
What has motherhood taught you about yourself that you didn’t know before?
That I am capable of so much more than I ever thought.
While juggling a busy personal life, how do you find time for yourself and the things you love?
I am pretty in tune with my personal needs/how I am feeling. If I am feeling anxious, stressed out or depleted I will always make time for things that fill my cup like making a delicious dinner, catching up with friends, exercising or even little things like lighting a scented candle or putting on a face mask.
What’s one piece of advice you think every woman should hear at least once?
It’s cool to be kind.
What role does fashion play in your everyday life?
I love expressing myself through fashion and dressing to my mood - some days I’ll be in baggy jeans and a baby tee and other days it will be sequins and heels!
What are some of the most treasured pieces in your wardrobe?
My grandmother just gifted me a little gold purse that her mother bought on a cruise ship when she was younger, it’s the most sentimental piece I have.
